Shows like Toddlers and Tiaria’s are showing that more and more young girls are wearing makeup. And I’m seeing more and more young girls with it plastered all over their pretty faces. Which brings us to the question-Â How young is too young for makeup?
In my thoughts I think that anything under 12 is too young for makeup. Not only does makeup clog their young pores, but it also just looks bad. I understand if your child is a dancer or actress and needs the makeup, but for school?? Really?? A thirteen year old  is not the same as a seventeen year old young adult.
Think about it-do you like going anywhere without your makeup on? If you allow a thirteen year old to wear a full face of makeup she probably won’t be comfortable without makeup on her face.
My teenage daughter was allowed to wear lip gloss from 12-14, but until then we didn’t allow her to wear makeup. And she honestly prefer’s light makeup today because of it. She’ll put a full face on for special occasions, but as an older teen she’s comfortable in her own skin.
So how young is too young for makeup?
