As a very busy mom who is always on the go, it’s hard to tote around my 6 month old and still get things done. When my daughter was only a few weeks old, I couldn’t get anything done. I was carrying her around all the time, because she refused to be happy anywhere else. I had to make blog posts with one hand, dishes with one hand, laundry with one hand, and don’t even ask me how I made dinner every night. Thankfully, I discovered a different way of carrying my little one.
Baby slings are the most convenient way of carrying around your newborn. They are also quite fashionable too! They are available in a variety of fabrics and sizes.
I have been reviewing and testing different baby slings and wraps over the last 6 months. I just recently got the ultra cool Rockin’ Baby Sling and I LOVE IT! It’s just so chic!
I have the Rockin’ Baby Sling in the “Hold Me” print (#157).
The Rockin’ Baby Sling is a lot like the Maya Wrap.
It doesn’t come in different sizes like the Maya Wrap, but it does come in MUCH cooler prints. If you browse through their website, they currently have over 22 different prints that are doubled layered and reversible, offering more versatility than the Maya.
I did find that the Rockin’ Baby Sling had less slippery rings which makes it harder to adjust, but less likely to slip with heavier children. The material also feels more durable, like it may last much longer than the Maya.
Rockin’ Baby Sling also makes Rockin’ Baby Pouches! I haven’t tried their pouch, but they look like they are good quality and I just can’t get over the cool prints! So many different ones to choose from.
Another thing that makes the Rockin’ Baby Sling better than the Maya Wrap, is the tail has 2 pockets instead of 1. Although, the 2 pockets have a velcro closure and aren’t as secure as the Maya’s 1 zippered pocket.
I get lots of compliments when I’m wearing the Rockin’ Baby Sling. It’s a big hit in the mall! And it’s the same baby carrier that Gwen Stefani uses. How much cooler can you get?
The Rockin’ Baby Sling was made for the modern parent who wants to remain fashionable, functioning and true to their sense of self while nurturing their baby. The sling can be worn in 5 different carrying positions to match baby’s mood and development. It is great for nursing baby and for just getting around. Baby wearing has been shown to positively contribute to baby’s development and is an essential part of attachment parenting! A baby carrier is a fundamental baby accessory.
All slings are made of 100% cotton linen, cotton twill, cotton poplin, or cotton voile. Rockin’ Baby Slings are conceived and manufactured in Los Angeles, California, USA.
They have a fantastic FAQ’s section on their website to answer any questions you might have about their products. Plus, a great page that shows you a few of the different carrying positions you can use.
Although they run about $92 and up, I definitely recommend the Rockin’ Baby Sling!
