In the short time that I have used the new Carmex® Healing Lotion and Carmex® Healing Cream, I have to say they seem to work well on dry skin. I just cannot give you long term results at this time.
The cream and lotion both have a pretty thick consistency so it doesn’t run all over the place after you squeeze it into your hand. It absorbs nicely into the skin without any greasy after affect, which is very nice. My hands and elbows felt relatively soft after applying a generous application of the lotion as well.
If you have ever tried Carmex lip balm and liked the scent of it, then you’ll like the scent of these new healing lotions. There is a distinct scent about them that is very pleasant, I must say. Even my daughter, who has become a lotion connoisseur, liked how they smelled. It isn’t quite vanilla but reminds me of it in some way.
The Carmex Healing Cream comes in a tube with a flip top cap. It appears to be pretty tough material that isn’t likely to puncture too easily. The cap closes tightly. We haven’t had any leakage. That’s the other thing, you know how sometimes you can store a tube upright that there is a fast flow the next time it is used? Well, this doesn’t happen for these products. Just another plus.
The only negative is that they do contain parabens, propylene glycol and other chemicals. The good news is that they also contains beeswax and lanolin, which are definitely good ingredients.
Overall, I did like Carmex’s new Healing Lotion & Cream.
