We received 4-5 packages of PiggyBack Bandz. PiggyBack Bandz are silicon band bracelets that come in the shapes of letters, animals, cool rides, football, groovy and glam, fun shapes. These bracelets are different than other silicon band bracelets in that they have a mini shaped band that “piggybacks” on top of the traditional band bracelet, enabling the shape of the band to be seen and recognized better. PiggyBack Bandz are a patent-pending product.
Each package of PiggyBack Bandz cost around $5.00 each. There are 25 in a package, although the alphabet package does include that twenty-sixth letter.
PiggyBack Bandz will exhibit at Toy Fair (for the first time!) on February 12.
Our Review
Our children have loved the PiggyBack Bandz. They have held up very well and we have seen only one breakage due to misuse by excessive stretching of a bracelet. We quickly reminded them not to do that if they want their bracelets to last and that was enough for the children to stop stretching the bandz too far.
While we did find the piggy-backing of the bandz does occur, it works better for some shapes better than others. We think that is because of a twist in the bandz. No twists should be in the silicon band for them to piggy-back correctly.
Our children had fun calling out what letters and shapes they each desired to have, they have even swamped bandz or paid their siblings with bandz for certain tasks they wanted to “bribe” them into doing. Hey, whatever system that works, works for us, as long as no one is being unfairly treated in the process. 😉
Comments from some of the children:
“I like them.”
“I think they are neat.”
“They are cool.”
So it’s a thumbs up for the PiggyBack Bandz from the Gould children!
