If you are looking for a way to stay out of the kitchen this year on Valentine’s Day, then you might want to consider Donsuemor Cookies.
Donsuemor
Over 30 years ago the Donsuemor Madeleine began with a simple French recipe. Then Don and Sue Morris (Don-Sue-Mor) introduced their madeleines to their Berkeley community in 1976. Together, this dynamic couple used both their entrepreneurial spirit and and baking skills to create a delightfully moist cookie (or little cake). (paraphrased from their sample box that was sent to us.)
Donsuemor products are made with natural ingredients that you can actually pronounce. Though it does list “natural flavoring”, which can be different things.
The Self-Life of a Donsuemor Treats
It is suggested that Donsuemore treats be served or consumed within 14 days – very easy to do in our home! Otherwise, they may store up to 2 months in a household freezer or 6 months in a commercial freezer.
Our Review
We received a cute little sample box of several different kinds of Donsuemor Madeleines, Cute Cakes. The Traditional Madeleines reminded us of homemade pound cake, the Lemon Zest Madeleine was a favorite, the Dipped Madeleine was the Traditional with the tip dipped in chocolate and the last Madeleine was Chocolate. The other three types we tried were a French Almond Cake, Chocolate Cute Cakes dipped in white chocolate coating and lastly Vanilla Cute Cakes dipped in dark chocolate coating.
We really preferred the Madeleines over the Cute Cakes. They were moist and very tasty. These were a nice little treat for our family to eat and make comments together for this review.
