In honor of Good Friday, I thought it was fitting to include a post about a movie about Mary Magdalene.Through Her Eyes: Magdalena is perfect for the Easter weekend, Mother’s Day or any other day for that matter.
Magdalena is based on a true story and is pretty much like the Jesus movie, but it is more in the fact that shows how Jesus is viewed through Mary Magdalene’s eyes. Therefore this movie includes clips about Mary Magdalene’s life as they are interwoven throughout. This touching story of love and forgiveness allows viewers to experience the tenderness of Jesus as he bestows his compassion and concern on a woman who thought she would never get rid of the burden of her past.
Our family enjoyed watching this movie together and plan to watch it many more times in the future. It is family-friendly and our children really liked it. I encourage all families to watch it together and learn from women of the past to gain hope and change for the future.
