This enchanting story of a 409-year-old witch Heckerty and her cat Zanzibar wasn’t designed to be a Halloween tale, but it’s still the perfect way to entertain young children without the scare factor.
Heckerty tells the story in clean easy to use words that even the youngest child will understand. As she reads the text appears one word at a time so children learn to recognize each one and build their vocabulary. They can also tap on the word to hear it read aloud as any times as they like.
This award-winning app works on all iPad, iPhone, Android, and Kindle Fire devices so no worries about finding a product for it to work on.
We haven’t had a chance to check out this app yet, but we think it’s great fun for Halloween or all year round. Not to mention that it’s FREE until October 31st. (Which also happens to be Heckerty’s birthday)
