Magic Bumpers are firm polyurethane foam wedges that are designed to go under the fitted sheet as a safer and easier alternative to traditional hard bed rails that slip under the mattress. The foam has a gripy non-slip surface that stays in place when under a fitted sheet. The bumpers are also very lightweight which makes handling and travel much easier.
I’ve been using Magic Bumpers for one year, putting them the ultimate test. I’ve used them in our king size bed in several different ways to co-sleep with our 2 kids. We started using Magic Bumpers right after our son was born August 31st, 2010. I felt safe using them, knowing it would provide safety against him rolling off the bed onto the floor when he was an infant. I put them on the other side of the bed as well, so our (at the time) 3 year old wouldn’t fall off the bed.
My son is now going to be 1 in a couple weeks and my daughter just turned 4 and is now sleeping in her brand new bunk bed! (With princess sheets and everything!;-) ) So we now use 2 Magic Bumpers on one side of our king size bed so our son who still co-sleeps with us, won’t roll off in the night and 2 Magic Bumpers on the bottom bunk of my daughter’s new bed.
These things are easy to move, situate, and adjust. They fit under most fitted sheets, are easily put back in place when you change the sheets on the bed and they are just the right height to provide a barrier between your child and the floor.
