Lets face it, cold suck. No matter how much we hate them or attempt to prevent them, there is always that one but that we aren’t going to be able to escape. It swoops through and strikes everyone in the house, making everyone miserable.
Here are some tips to survive the cold that will inevitably last several days and hopefully no longer.
Chill out. Don’t stress, it’ll weaken your immune system and make you tired and irritable. Sit back and relax, have a cup of tea and watch a movie for a bit. House cleaning can wait.
Don’t worry about eating totally healthy. Sure, you want don’t want to eat all junk while you’re sick. That will just make it worse, but don’t stress about making sure meals are completely healthy. It’s ok to have frozen dinners or junk food if that’s all everyone feels like.
Mother your kids. Even though you don’t feel good, don’t forget to make sure your little ones feel good. Cuddle with them and don’t worry about letting them watch a ton of tv when they don’t feel well. Whatever remedies, whether herbal or medicinal that you turn to, to get them feeling better don’t forget that a hug from mom helps too.
